          when i was in NY 18 yr ago you had to wipe a lead joint to get your license

          and it is not easy to do

                    though wounded, I shall survive. Actually though, that particular case did'nt leak and probably would have gone undetected except that we had to cut into the horizontal downstream from that connection and when the pipe snapped it dropped about 3 inches.

                      You know how hard it was to find silver colored silicone? I had to drive to 3 different hardware stores.
