  • 2 1/2" heating line

i have a 2 1/2" heating line that has a pin hole leak. it was brazed with copper phosphorus rod. the line had glycol in it. after draining would it be better to try to fix the hole with 15% rod or go back with copper rod

Either will do the job but I fear that the glycol was allowed to go alkalyne and is beginning to pin hole the copper.

I agree, but is the hole a solder leak or copper leak? If his copper is wearing he has problems ahead,

So it's a bad solder joint? Drain it, hit it again, check it, and call it a day.
