    Good job! The best thing you can do long-term is to have the pipe repaired/replaced where the roots are growing in. Its better to take care of it it when its not an emergency. As Rick said, the roots will grow bakc stronger, its only a matter of time before they really start to damage the pipe.

      OK, I just can't leave it alone.

      15 minutes... and you've snaked a line like maybe... never?

      and I get torn apart for saying I'd be out of there in an hour.

      How long did you spend total? including de-packaging and assembling this tool you've never used before, pulling toilet, replacing toilet long from not quite functioning bathroom to functioning bathroom? I'm guessing 2-4 hours, for someone who NEVER does this (and WELL DONE btw.... not dissing you... a well deserved sense of triumph comes thru in your post).

      PS. Did you caulk your toilet? IT'S THE LAW!!
