  • New to the Forum

Hey guys, I found your forum the other day when I googled cinch rings, looking for opinions trying to decide if I could trust them in a place I REALLY didn't want a problem. Normally I use copper, but my company uses a lot of Pex and they use crimp rings, so I carry those tools, but they don't make them in 3/8 and that's what I had to use.

Anyway, I've been LOL at some of the threads, and I think I'll enjoy the site. Just wanted to say thanks for the forum.

Welcome Boilerman. Cinch Rings? If you're talking about SS Clamps then most everyone has positive experiences from what I've read. Crimp rings also. Some swear by Wirsbo expansion system. I have some Wirsbo leak pics I'm trying to post to get input but the pics are too large. Already tried downloading a compression tool but that failed. Pisses me off.

      Anyway, welcome to the forum.

      J.C.

Welcome to the forum, you will enjoy for the most part.

J.C, I await the pics with excitment.

I am a Rehau guy, but have installed lots of wirsbo, and no leaks. I do remember us having problems when the temp was 30 or so degrees outside.

        Wanna see.........thank you

            Welcome Boillerman,
I too was hooked from the first time I read some of the stuff this amazing group was putting out.If you told me two years ago how special an internet group would be to me I would have said you were nuts.

Howdy Boilerman. Looks like you are just down the road from me. We spend most of our time in Holland and Saugatuck. I only get to Wayland or Door when a Bradford White doesn't work. Welcome to the forum.

                        Re: New to the Forum

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm getting ready for hand surgery (torn ligaments and nerves) so I'll probably be on here this summer making a nusaince of myself.

The only place around here that could help me with 3/8 was the cinch rings from Watts, so I went with it. I'm feeling better about it. Lots easier than the crimp rings with a sore wrist.
