  • female fittings

hello all. i'm looking for copper fittings. i was looking for half-inch female thread by half-inch sweat but with a gasket or o-ring instead of straight thread. i have seen them in cpvc plastic solvent weld but not in brass or copper except for meter nipples. anyone know of a place online? thanks in advance.

I doubt that such a fitting exists. The gasket would meld when you soldered it on.

pro press has a gasket, and they ask you to remove the gasket when you are going to solder the other end of the fitting. the gasket being an O'ring

hello again. i am not trying to do anything at this point. i'm sorry if my question was misunderstood, i should have said it was hypothetical. the reason i was curious was because i see a lot of fittings in plastic that have the gasket or washer type fittings and wanted to know if such a thing exists in copper sweat or compression one end, instead of sweat or male thread by female copper with a washer on the female side. i know there are other combinations that can be used but for my curiosity i asked my original question. thanks again in advance if anyone cares to reply.
