Definitely sounds like a partially plugged drain. Time to call in the professionals on this one. Tissue paper on its own will usually make it out. There may be underlying issues such as roots, cracked pipe, backpitch, etc.

      Partial main line clog.

Hire someone to clear the obstruction, a professional drain cleaner or licensed plumber that does drain cleaning.

      $200-$480.45 depending on your area.

Very sorry to hear of your spouses condition.

Sounds like a paper clog/restriction to me. Being it drains but slow, it sounds like a restriction. Try to avoid the paper usage as much as possible and if it continues you might have to call a local reputable plumber or drain cleaner.

Dumb question probably. Who did the plumbing?

If you are on a septic tank and haven't had in pumped in the last five years...get it pumped.

If not, then call a professional drain-cleaner to cable the main sewerline. (and possibly have it video-inspected if you can afford the extra cost)

i tell all of my clients, "you should never put anything in the toilet except human waste abd the LEAST amount of TOILET PAPER possible. no kleenex, paper towls, feminine products, q-tips, cigarette/cigar butts, dental floss or anything. if you do you will be calling me sooner than you think"

The penthouse suite has four patios,at least two of them flood the vallet guys out right in front of the entrance of the building
when I was running water out onto the main drains.

The building's original plumbing contractor has got the mains and overflows crossed.Every time it rains they have to rig up some kind of micky mouse garden hose contraptions on the overflows in front of the entrance. Can you imagine spending millions on your shell of a unit and not being able to washdown or water plants on your patio?

This guy has a license...Yank it till he starts putting in plumbing like it means something!!!!

I'm sure we could find someone willing to double it.
