  • Online Plumber

Hello, I am looking for someone to give advice on my blog and on my plumbing related site.

I have advertised in Craigs's List without much luck. The position pays $12 per hour. So it would be good for a retired plumber.

I would hope that a lifetime of learning and plying a physically and mentally trade is worth more than 12 an hour. Remember, ya get what ya pay for.

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, just merely pointing out that this particular forum invites people to seek professional opinion for free. I'll shut up on the subject now, as I'm sure my opinion is not the popular choice.

I give a bit of advice for minor things. As far as more involved projects, my advice is ALWAYS to call a pro. I believe its safer, and supports my fellow tradesmen.

I can't tell you how happy I am you found this place.
I used to be openly verbal about my dissention and it didn't make me popular, so I just entered "popularity contest winner" in my trade.

As for the O/P...you have to have been hit hard on the head a few times too many to think any respectable plumber would sell out his trade for $12 an hour and then risk being held liable for someone elses actions...sorry, but thats rediculous, you might consider legal advice before offering a paid site for DIY plumbing.

Also, I bet it's only a matter of time before someone faces legal problems as a result of offering free advice online...technically I could be aiding a criminal act if I were to offer suggestions on how to do dangerous work, especially on gas fixtures.
When a woman can sue McDonalds for serving her hot coffee that she spilled on her own lap, there's no telling what a homeowner who burns down his own home would try.

                            I was kidding
                            Your opinion is appreciated.

He could always hire and pay for a marketing consultant.I think I would charge a hellova lot more than he could imagine to make the sky the limit as far as website appeal goes.
