  • Dog Tubs

One of my boss's customers was talking to me today about a elevated dog bath. They where asking if there was any way to build a nice one instead of one of the plastic online orders. Has anyone at all done anything similar yet? The worst thing i can think of is all that hair down the drain ill be there with a snake every time they wash the damn dog. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

They make a hair interceptor for hair salons. Maybe the same can be adapted for your aplication?

I have set up several dog grooming stores and a couple of place where you rent the stall to wash your own dog. In all of them they used standard press steel tubs which were elevated on stands.

One of my co workers' girlfriend runs a grooming business. I'll ask him about how they deal with the hair in the drain issue next time I see him.

new installation ? a nice tile receptor works well with a hand held shower. any volume drains you could put ahead of it ?

On Kitchen Renovations on DIY, they installed what looked to be a cast iron shower pan in the mudroom off of a kitchen they were remodeling. That seems like a pretty good method, except they installed it at floor level and as someone who has had to wash his dogs a few times, I highly recommend raising it up a little.

                  Re: Dog Tubs

Done it a couple of times. Steel tub, white enameled, elevated on pressure treated lumber. Had a wall surround.

The other was just a fiberglass tub/shower unit elevated the same way. They make a hair filter trap you might consider if they have a high turnover (groomer).

Garden hose. Its a dog. They already eat better than 90 percent of the world. Now they can bathe better... What is the world coming to.

On this subject, Rick must have a similar device to give the K-60 a bath. It probably has rain tile and jacuzzi jets though... Unless he gets a new one after it gets dirty.

if i could hit a thumbs down this one would get it

                        do you have a dog

a dog is part of our family and she does not get pampered to much but how do you wash your dog in the winter time ,cant use the hose out side can you .if you say yes then you should give it a try your self first

i give rosie a bath in the tub when it is to cold out side [ i try to clean here 1 time a month ]
she is a house dog and is aloud to go on the chairs ,couch and bed .and if same one comes over she is put in the other room if they dont like the dog hair then they can turn around and leave the same way they came in
