    I was told this early on too, but noone could prove it to me, and when you have two tanks it makes sense to be able to isolate them. The company I work for now does a lot of storage tank with circ pump setups for the extra hot water people want for there jet tubs and stuff. They don't hesitate to isolate. Not in the IPC anyway, if it is I'ld sure like someone to point it out. I'ld have to give Devine an apology though, not sure I'ld like that.

    Did have a job recently though that we had to remove some isolation valves to boilers we set up to stage. The complex didn't want to spend the money for extra safety controls for each boiler (the maintenance guy
    thought he could force us into putting them in for free). Now the maint guy is gone and they probably will have us go ahead and put them in again.
