  • Where can I throw old grease interceptor away?

    Hi!,

I changed an old grease interceptor 20gal/min. How do you throw away the interceptor. It has been used over 10 years and smells so bad.

Where and how can I treat the old junk.

I heard that kitty litter can help to reduce smell.

Please let me know if anyone has exprience about that.

    Thank you in advance.

I am assuming that it is steel?

If so take it to a local carwash and clean it up as best you can and then scrap it at a local recycle center or junkyard.

Just set it by the entrance of the best steak house in town. They'll take care of it!

Yes, it is steel and smells really bad. I am not sure that I can wash it in a carwash.

          Thank you anyways.

Take it to your local Obama campaign HQ and leave it at the door. They should be able to use that extra crap. Should be clean in a couple of hours
Oh you're in Canada, hmm... oh well Obama thinks he is campaigning for president of the world so yea, you should have a Obama campaign office in Toronto.

You said the grease interceptor is steel? You are in Toronto? Drop it off at Canada Iron & Metal on Dundas (Between Scarlett & Jane St). They will even give you 10 cents a pound for it! (then you can retire). If you get there late and they are closed leave it at the entrance way (they accept all kinds of metals). Of course you can always leave it at Home Depot (near the shopping cart holding area)
