  • Blocked 3" emegency floor drain in a bakery

There is a 3" emergency floor drain in a bakery and coffee shop.
When I opend the floor drain cover, it was surprisingly blocked with dust, sand and break clumbs.

I put a latex glove and dug with my hand about one foot.
First 3 -4 inch was dried bread clumbs which was pretty clean,
but When I dug more muddy bad smell dust(sand, dust, and bread clumbs mixed) came out.
When their staffs clean the floor, some of dust and bread clumbs fall in the floor drain.

The floor drain would not work until flood. Not only blocked drain but also blocked a 3/4" plastic trap primer pipe.

I am sure how deep is the floor drain.

I will try to open the blocked floor drain with snake. But I would like to know if anything that protect the drain.

It will be blocked again after years if I leave the drain hole.

Expert plumbers please give me advice.

And one more thing, How can I open the blocked primer pipe?

    Please let me know.

    Thank you in advance.

That 3/4 plasic drain. If it's above ground I would replace it if you can't get it cleared with compressed air.Protecting the drain??? If they don't want to pay attention then they can pay you to.If it has a grate designed for that body what else can you do?

food prep people are forever sweeping the floor into the drains. Not much you can do about it other than clean it out every few months or have them do it.

The drips from the primer will never help the trash problem! Give Tony a backhander ,and
Splain the the proper use of dis device! Oh! Buy em a trash can too
I can build anything You want , if you draw a picture of it , on the back of a big enough check .
