      Canadian version of Homeland Security is the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). You can find more info here if you are interested:

      As for me, I just have a keen interest in plumbing, always have since a kid. But, Im not a licensed plumber. However, I will say that I do know alot about residential plumbing from my father, self education (books & internet), watching & asking the pros and planning things out 20 times BEFORE actually doing it. I get the city to come in and inpect all work in any event.
      eg. The new PVC sewers the city inspected (prior to back filling) and a new 1" copper water supply (before backfiling). They ok'ed everything.
