  • pvc to cast iron

    im putting a bar in my basement and i want to drain the sink into the cast iron drain that runs from the first floor bathroom down through the basement floor. there is a clean out about 30 inches off the floor can i connect pvc to this spot

      No you must cut a new fiting into the stack, plus at 30" off the floor the drain would be to high to connect up the the sink.

          And the required vent for your new bar sink needs to tye in to the venting system above said sink.

          I wonder if I word it better I can make a tongue twister out of this

            You will need to cut a new fitting in the stack for the bar sink drain, and make sure you install a vent for the bar sink drain as required per code.
