  • List of rough-in dimensions?

Does anybody know of a website where I can find a list of rough-in dimensions? or alternatively what book to buy?

I'm looking for measurements and clearances such as where to stub out the water closet supply etc.

I looked through the code book and couldn't find most of these.

You mean what we normally stub out pipes at off the center? For sinks & the toilet cold off center of the waste line?

we can give pretty generic measurements, but for anything specific you'd need an application guide sold by the fixture manufacturer.
No, it's not rocket science, it's plumbing and unlike rocket science it requires a license.

For custom and residential there are only a handfull of commonly used numbers used while laying out.Lavs,toilets,tubs,laundry,kitchen.
Being aware of a fixture that has a special rough is a must.
What numbers are you looking for?
The forum could bang them out before the end of a superbowl commercial break.

on those lowboy toilets that hook up about 6" off the floor
I stub out on the right,6"up and6" from center
turnthe stop looking back to the left, and use a 18" chrome supply tube
bend with bender....that keeps my stop and esction out of the base board
and gives me room to hook up....

And I've seen shops that run apprentices as truck drivers for 2 years and then throw them out in the field.Gotta start somewhere.
