Just finished a bathroom remodel in my house. Replaced the 35 year old Crane 2 handle shower/tub faucet with an American Standard single handle. Everything went together fine and the room looks good. Now, I am getting pipe knock about 20 feet away from this bathroom in the laundry room. The American Standard was soldered onto the existing water lines and none of the pipe straps were changed or loosened. Any idea why I would get banging so far from the bathroom after doing this change out? Would an expansion tank in the laundry room area solve the problem?
