    wanting to run 1/2" pex to my barn 125 feet from house , wondering what is best way to insulate and keep from freezing over winter, this is Canada.

    I would not run 1/2" 125'. I would recommend using 1" or at least 3/4" for that distance. I would sleeve this in PVC making sure its below the frost line and then use a yard hydrant in the barn. That is the only way to keep it from freezing. Another option is to just do a 12" bury and not use it during the winter making sure to drain the line completely.
    Once you become a pickle you can't go back to being a cucumber.
