  • residential main line sizing?

Replacing old main line into my house. 1/2" copper into the house before the meter, 3/4 black iron after. Does it make any sense to use 3/4 copper to replace the black iron if its being restricted by 1/2 into the house?

    What is your water pressure?
    What is your demand?
How far from the meter is your furthest fixture?

That's what I get for using a shortcut to indicate why he was talking about BLACK IRON (BI) PIPING.

But I'm also FLATERED you immediately thought that rather than fuel piping.
