Can any of you think of a good reason not to replace the "POC Brand" with a Fluidmaster 400A?

you're correct. the original is a hunter design.

it doesn't hold up near as well as a fluidmaster and parts are much harder to come by.

when i can fix them i do. when i can't they get replaced by a fluidmaster.

Thanks and I kind of thought you were the person that howled about TOTO needing to switch over to Fluidmaster. I was thinking maybe they had something hidden in the tank so as to force exact replacement with the same POC that comes in them. 400A is will be.

The Toto G-Max flush system uses a higher refill rate on the bowl refill. If you want a lesser flush go right ahead and use the 400A.

          Toto G-Max

Is a nice reliable fill system w/ fast fill. It takes about 10 seconds to fill my ultramax which is nice for those needed courtesy flushes I say stick w/ the Toto system.
