What's up all new here. Have a couple a question's i hope someone in my area or close by can answer with knowledge. Well to start off i am a 32 year old best shape in my life, no back aches no injuries, CDL class A driver have been doing this since 2003. Around 2004 i was hired at a wet water drilling company (prosonic) i was a drillers helper testing for water contamination learning the in and outs of the trade from auger drilling, pipe fitting, carrying pipes into the drill head and balancing and working close by with geologists. Lost the job i got into a nasty car accident, my supervisor had put me on 3 months hold meaning if i get well before the 3 months was done i could have return back to work but the injury was bad and could not return back to work. Ever since 9 years old i worked with my hands worked close with my father doing multiple task's from fixing boiler, plumbing, sheetrock and electrical even roofing So after losing the drilling job that i loved and enjoyed i went back to becoming a truck driver (boring) ever since then thats what i have done. Now i am going back to school, bergen county school of technology for my GED i know most of you must be like wow why now well i did stupid things when i was young had a kid at a early age and was basically forced to work to make ends meet even if i had to drop out of school to work 2 jobs or what ever it took to put food on my table. Not sure if bergen county has a apprenticeship program for plumbing or just a course to teach 4 year apprentice's how to obtain the master license. Who ever attended this school please message me with details or just post your experience. I have now the time and patience to get back on track so my family can live at least comfortable and get myself a profession. I am located in north east new jersey i checked my local union but they seem to have no openings and not taking any apps, well im hoping i can find a apprenticeship program or a certified school i can attend to become a plumber If anyone can help me out with some link's or some advice i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to read my post
