  • sump pump switch

I installed a new Ridgid SP-500 submersible sump about a month ago. I saw an initial problem with it in that when the float triggered the switch, the pump would only discharge water for about 2 seconds. this kept the water level, well, level, but did not remove much water from my crock.

I came home from work tonight, and the pump was running continuousely, and there is no incoming water (i.e. rain) into the system. i am assuming it is a bad switch, but Ridgid Customer Service closes at 5pm eastern time. Is the switch difficult to replace? Where can I get one--Home Depot? Lowes?

    thanks
