  • pump away

Just read this article about reasons to use "pump away" approach in installation: http://www.bellgossett.com/Press/Cou...tJan2001-A.pdf

But the "pump away" means pump water away from the boiler or away from the radiators? I guess it is pumping water away from the radiators. So we should install zone circulators on the return side of the boiler. Am I right?

    thanks,

    Re: pump away

You can make pretty convincing arguements either way of 'pumping away' from the boiler or on the return side.

Most installations I do are on the supply side (pump away from boiler)

Just make sure you do it per manufacturers instructions.

That article says the pump away is the best choice and there are at least "Five Good Reasons to Pump Away". Just want to know which direction is the way which is mentioned in that article.

"Pump away" means pumping away from the boiler towards radiators
