  • No Hot Water Pressure, Cold is okay

Our level of hot water pressure has dropped to almost nothing - the trickling water is hot, just missing the pressure. The cold water pressure is strong. We drained our hot water heater and refilled it. This has somewhat increased the pressure, but returned it to what it was. The HWH is 6 years old and 2 months out of warranty. We have been told we need to replace the heater. It has not been drained once year - only once every other year.

Is the only option a new heater?

    Thank you!

do you have hard water in your area? this may cause the pipes to calcify up and the tank itself to get depostits on it and thus restricting your pressure.
