He was kind of a leader into today's country and had some good stuff, I remember watching him when I was a kid on hee haw.

          Classical rocks!

Mr. B died almost 200 years ago and today most everyone on the planet knows of him. Betcha 200 years from now some plumber will be kickin' it on Mars and listening to ol' Mr. B.

How's that for a successful frontman?

It was only a foot note in history that
                besides being a brilliant composer
that on weekends he fronted a 3 piece band

many years later such as Jerry Lee Lewis

upon further thought, i'm going with tina turner. her stage performance was influence for countless frontman such as mick jagger, david bowie, iggy pop, steven tyler and others.

                    Axtually, he did.

Jerry and Elton would be embarrassed to be in the same paragraph as Beethoven. Not only was Mr. B a great composer and musician, but a p.r., spokesman, and frontman for his band to boot.

Nothing much has changed in the dynamics of a band throughout the centuries, has it?

Alternative, I go with Michael Stipe.
                      Country, Dwight Yoakum.
