  • aquapex and bisphenol-A

Been looking on the web for some info on this but no luck so far. A little concerned as our whole house is plumbed with Aquapex. Can someone point me to an article explaining whether or not there is a bisphenol A problem in houses plumbed with Aquapex?
    Cheers.

    Re: aquapex and bisphenol-A

From what I know, Wirsbo Aquapex is made with cross linked polyethylene plastic. I'm not sure if that is in the same family of plastics that is made with bisphenol A. Having said that, from what I read about the subject, the plastic product must be subjected to boiling water to possibly release the bisphenol A. Not likely in a domestic water system as boiling is 212 F and most water heaters are set less than 140 F. Hope this helps.
