  • Shower Valve Help

Its a 30-40 year old shower valve. The lever controls the water flow and the outer knob controls the temp. Any ideas would be nice Thanks Paul

Is this some kind of a contest? Do you want us to guess the manufacturer?

Only company that would make something that ugly is Kohler

To remove and close water with flathead from valves inside of wall. Very odd!

                      Hmm. Well I don't think it's a Kohler.
That being said, I've looked thru all my books and can't quite match it.
Some come close, but not exactly. That's why I thought seeing the
                      stem might help.

Is this in a commercial application?
It appears to be a commercial valve of some sort.
Symmons, Leonard, Powers, maybe even an old Grohe.
The lack of markings on the handle is a problem.
If it was Kohler, their name would be all over it.
Pull the stem, post a pic. Inquiring minds want to know.

                          Re: Shower Valve Help

Personally, I would send those images to Kohler and see if you get a bite. I've seen a shower valve by Kohler that was SORT of similar and wasn't marked at all. I only discovered it was Kohler after removing the escutcheon and handle.

The age on that valve was also ~30 years old.
