  • gruvlok coupling on victaulic fittings

We are trying to use up material we have in inventory.
Can I use gruvlok couplings on victaulic fittings?
    Mostly 3", 4" 90 ells, etc.
In other words, can they be mixxed or do they need to be the same

YEP! you can mix and match, they are made to the same groove specs.

Pull up there respective catalogs and you will find the specifications.

Just out of curousity what are you putting together that you have no clue about the materials, and you are a piping designer?? Just wondering .

      Wow, that was kinda harsh!!!
One of my pipefitters asked me that question.
We install mechanical piping systems for HVAC.
I know what I'm doing but was not sure about the interchangeability of the couplings and fittings.
I design piping systems for commercial and industrial, including grooved systems.
Typically we would buy the same brand fittings and couplings, but we have a large inventory of fittings and couplings, of different brands
we are trying to use up.

As stated above they will work. Only thing to worry about is warranty. If anything goes wrong at the joints with mixed vendors you will be on your own.
