  • Stained tub

Hey guys ,I have a customer who had a leak at the tub/shower diverter, down to the spout, which I have fixed of course,But the house has some hard *** water which has stained the fiberglass surrounding the drain.I have tried all the conventional fixes,CRL,vinegar, bleach, and of course fiberglass stain remover to no avail. Any suggestions for an old plumber, trying to help out a YOUNG damsil in distress ?

    Thanks in advance !

I don't know if it will work or even damage the surface, so test a small area first. You may want to try acetone. It has amazing cleaning qualities and very small molecules that allow it to penetrate deeply to small surface scratches.

Try your local marina. Fiberglass boats have much nastier stains and there are produces to keep boats clean

Get some Sno-Bol. Keep off of chrome & similar finishes. Follow directions.
