    I need a small inverter (12dc to 120v ac) how big of a wattage (200-400w) would I need just for M12 and cordless drill recharges..

    I have read that Dewalt charger most likely will burn out on cheap inverters, Do know know if that is true with Ridgid or not, the manual may tell,

      they sell a m12 charger that works on both 120 and 12 volt. that's your best bet for the m12.

              I know you can get 12VDC chargers for DeWalt also.

                I use my 400 watt charger, it has a cig lighter plug. I also found it useful in powering the sewer camera in remote locations.
