  • laundry room drain in basement

hello all , i am in the process of moving my laundry room about 15 feet away from it's current position where there is a floor drain.
my question is do i require a drain in the new laundry room by code in toronto, if so can i use the bathroom shower and tub drain that is directly next to the laundry room that is a 2" or does it have to be a 3" drain( primed.) thanks
btw i am in ontario canada

I don't know what is required where you live, but in the US most codes require a 2in. drain, a p-trap and a stand pipe 18-30 inches above the trap, they also need to be vented.
