    A lot of areas will not allow the use on gas lines, and you can take it apart but it's a PITA.

      Expando can be a savior when working on threads 2-1/2" and larger, but be prepared to use alot of heat to get it apart again. Years ago I worked for the mechanical company that piped the plumbing and hydronic heating systems on the sports arena the houses the Anaheim Mighty ducks hockey team. With all the different overseas made flanges and fittings, the air handler headers leaked like sprinkler systems using regular teflon tape and keytite.

        Cool beans,xpando is approved for everything,i agree 2 1/2 to 4" larger weld,smaller blue block.......megalock for potable water.
