  • add zone or add valve?

we have two rooms are spare during the winter and nobody stay there. right now we only have one zone. thinking about add a zone for them but my friend tells me it may be ok to add a valve to adjust the flow to reduce heat loss.

is that true or can we use valve to control the flow and make those rooms consume less heat?

    thanks

no, on a single loop system you can not just put a valve in. You need to split the loop and add either a circulating pump or a zone valve along with a thermostat. Not a diy job, call your heating professional.
