  • Silver soldering

I do some art work with old sterling Silver Forks and Spoons.
I would like to try soldering some. Same sticks and flux as i would use on under slab copper? Thanks in advance Tool
I can build anything You want , if you draw a picture of it , on the back of a big enough check .

the misconception is that it's not soldering, but brazing with silver bearing rod.

      Re: Silver soldering

Try Harris Stay-Brite 8 soft solder or Force 44, it's what gunsmiths use. Stay-Brite makes a pretty joint, not certain it will work on silverware.

      Borrow a little Stay-Brite from an HVAC tech. at $30+ a lb. if it doesn't work you're aren't out $30.00 + dineros.

For high temp. brazing the 45% or 56% would be your best bet.
