  • Toilet relocation

House 1950, cast iron drain and vent. 20" crawl space below. I would like to relocate toilet to the opposite wall - about 6' from the existing location, can I use the same vent stack? extending the drain under from the new location to the old one.

    Thanks,
    Louis

      6' blows!!

I think Philadelphia is something ridiculous like 12 or 15 feet from a stack. I'll have to ask my buddy, cause they have their own code.

under IPC self siphoning fixtures have No maximum distance to their vent. It was 906.1 in the 2006 book, not sure if that code reference has changed or not, but the code remains.

But a picture of the piping would be beneficial.

Not sure what code AZ is under, but I'd listen to LThompson since he's from your neck of the woods.
No, it's not rocket science, it's plumbing and unlike rocket science it requires a license.
