  • water pipe insulation question

I'm a do it yourselfer and am reinstalling some cpvc pipe in my house. As part of the install, I'd like to wrap the new lines in the installation sleeves to keep the water hotter longer, energy savings, etc.

I know cpvc has a list of materials where it is not compatible.

I do not see foam or rubber pipe insulation on the list, but wanted to see if anyone sees any issues

    any thoughts would be appreciated

Fiberglass insulation is an option too, with a range of wall thicknesses and a nice finished look to it when the proper jackets are used at the fittings, all you need is seam tape, thumb tacks, and a little loose fill insulation for the fittings all available from the manufacturer.

Rubber insulation, not rubber pipe. Not sure if it's actually rubber, but looks like it (shiny black vs the foam stuff).
