Just as most here I love to help, that's why like it here.

It's the dishonesty that I don't approve of.

I don't do the goofy chick thing either. They earn theirs as well.

I tried to help in my post telling him the right way of doing the repair. Even if he was a home owner I still would of told him the fittings he used is wrong and how it should be done. I do not care who it is and what they do for a living, if they are going to do plumbing they need to do it to code.

What is happening there is a bit of lag in the mornings. So when you click Submit reply and nothing happens and click it again, it will double post or triple post. My last reply took 3 minutes to post after clicking submit reply.

Re: An issue with snaking Need advise

I just think that if you are an apprentice, you should be taught the right way to do things and know what the code is. Especially if he is a 3rd year.

Now there is the right way, wrong way and what the customer can afford???

I think that no matter what it should be done to code. If push came to shove, 2 clamp alls and put the pipe right back together.

I think we all need to calm down a bit. Yes, it's not the right way or doing things, but I'm sure the OP now knows the right way of doing a similar job and next time he will do things the right way. No reason to bash the poor guy for not being all-knowing.

Congrats on getting the clog though..
