  • Buried ProPex fitting?

Using PEX (wirsbo) to bring water into my garage. Typical service entrance - the line will come up the outside of the wall and T into a hose bibb on the outside and a penetration into the wall.

Can I bury the PEX-Copper junction (wirsbo expansion fitting)? If not, what do you do about shielding the PEX from sunlight in a situation like this?

You should have no problem burying a wirsbo joint underground. I always come out of the ground with a metal riser with an elbow and short horizontal stub transitioned to the wirsbo underground for better stability. Some plumbers around here come out of the ground with pex and then insulate it to keep it from sunrot. It makes for a flimsy, unprofessional job in my opinion.
