  • Sewer Gas in Single Stack Vents

How high can sewer gas rise in a conventional vent system?

Is it possible if the municipal sewer pipe has very little grade and the sewage stagnates on a hot day for several psi of sewer gas pressure to build up and vent through a building's vent system?

Would it be worse with a SOVENT system?
