  • Toilet flange broken - PVC

Is there a metal replacement flange that can fit over the PVC collar to hold the toilet bolts? I had the PVC on one side break in a rental, I think the tenant must squirm a lot when sitting down. The bolt broke off part of the PVC so it will not tighten down. Hopefully there is a metal ring that I can put down to hold the bolts without having to replace the PVC. Thanks.

Hardware store or plumbing supply house for a "Toilet repair flange"

I suggest having the flange replaced.

ADD> I just had to replace one where I had to drill 3/4" holes into the concrete all the way around the 3" st. 90 and break out between the holes with a chipping hammer. Remove the flange, have the soil treated for termites, fill the void with water proof hydraulic cement, install the new flange and anchor it to the slab.

All while not disturbing aready set ceramic tile inches away that had cured. Easy peasy and done correctly.

There is a replacement called the clam. Works awesome. Try typing clam toilet flange on your browser, and no this is not spam. I carry them on the truck and have never been called back on an install.

The clam works super. Much better than those metal repair bars

The clam just became available in my area a few months ago, and only used it once.

I used it on a PVC flange that had a metal ring.

Will the clam work on an all PVC flange as well?
