  • Final drives redo J.D. 350 Dozer

Does anyone know what I should pay to have these redone! Thinking pins and bushings turned also. I use to be a plumbers apprentice and know they are a clever lot .
I can build anything You want , if you draw a picture of it , on the back of a big enough check .

never been around Dozers, the last dozer on the farm was the old Cat #22 (22 hp), dad used for farming my mother ran it for him at times, in the early 1950's she said it was a dirty thing to run as the track would pull the sand up and continuously sprinkle you with grit as you pulled things down the field,

my dad said every one liked them until it came time to replace the tracks and under carriage,

Deere stuff is good machinery, but like a premium on there parts it seems,

I would guess a lot of what it will cost is what needs to be done, and what needs replacement, if it is just bearings I would think the majority of the cost would be labor,
but if you need the gears or you can go to John Deere parts (on the net) and look up the parts and see the cost of them if you know what you need,

I know on a combine (the final drive is a separate piece) and even for a small 6600 it is not cheap, to buy a rebuilt one, $1500, on a newer combine, there about $3500 each, and that is not on the machine just the part,

here is a site that says they have dozer final drives, http://www.brokentractor.com/jd_doze...FUS5Kgod6zajfA
        parts for dozer drives, http://www.brokentractor.com/jd-dozer-fd-1010.htm
give one some idea of parts prices,

a bearing and seal kit from this company for a JD 350 dozer is about $312.00 http://www.reliableaftermarketpartsi...e-Dozer/Detail

        http://www.google.com/search?num=100...&aqi=&aql=&oq=

sorry I can not be of more help, but I think one can get a working Idea of some of the cost involved
