    Never researched or paid that close attention to it, so I'll just ask...

    Why are there different length T&P's with the same ratings from the same manufacturer?

    different thickness of the outer shell and insulation.

        You mean probe length or body length? Code requires a certain insertion depth for the probe.

          I've found that side mount types need the longer ones more than the top mounts.

            I meant probe length. I can figure out the other part.
