  • Wax-Free Bowl Gaskets

I have a toilet in a rental that the floor is not in the best of shape so the toilet rocks... and there goes the wax ring. The other day, I put a "number 10" wax ring on it, shimmed the toilet and caulked it so we'll see how it goes.

Until I get a chance to replace the floor, anyone have anyone have experience with either the Fernco or Fluidmaster Wax-Free Bowl Gaskets and if they would help specifically for this issue? Thanks!!

I'm not too fond of anything that relies on an O-ring that may or may not seal properly. Just because it doesn't leak water doesn't mean it doesn't leak sewer gases.
