  • No water in system

Water system is a closed system, with an underground cistern which is pumped to a pressure tank, from the tank it goes into the house, (there is a shut off valve under the house just outside the pressure tank). There is a shut off valve just inside the house, from there the water is distributed throughout the house. Cold water from there goes directly through the shut off valve to a tee which goes to the kitchen sink and then the rest of the house. We have good pressure at the kitchen sink, but next to none throughout the rest of the house. there is no water coming out of the hot water at the sink. The cold water at the washing machine does not run if the tap is turned on but will run if the cold water is turned on at the kitchen sink. (We did disconnect the elbow above the shut off valve in the house and blow air through the cold water line from the washing machine, after that we got water to go through the line) but only will run if the cold water is turned on at the sink. This problem started after shut off valve under the house was turned off, system worked fine until then. The valve seems to work as it turns the water on and off.

sounds like debris is stuck in the pipes supplying the faucets or in the faucets themselves.

The cold water at the washing machine does not run if the tap is turned on but will run if the cold water is turned on at the kitchen sink.
this may happen if there is a cross-connection and the machine is calling for both hot and cold water.
