Watched the video. Looks more like a disposal lifting tool than a flange snap ring installer.
The added weight of the disposal hanging helps to hold the sink flange down. But honestly the only time I've been challenged with this has been on really old extra thick cast iron sinks dating back over 50 years or older. Took out the thin paper ring and needed a second set of hands to help push the flange down. Other than those, it's never an issue with the flange.
But on the other hand, holding the disposal up while allowing you to catch all 3 tabs of the disposal is nice. Especially the higher end machines that don't give you much room for your fingers. 2 tabs are easy, it's the 3rd one that can be tuff.
$79.00 is not bad and is cheaper than having a helper with you, but 99% of the time I've never needed help with disposals.
Will be interesting to see if it makes it to the trade shows or supply houses. How did you find it?
