  • What is this device: Ridgid Pipe Bolt Holder?

I got this at a local auction recently.

What is it, what does it go to, any real value, model number, etc.?

    Thank you for your help.

It would make a nice boat anchor.

Sorry, but I hope you did not let too much go for it.

Looks like the back jaws off an old 300 power drive.

Its used to stabilize the pipe in the machine during threading operations.
"When we build let us think we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work that our descendants will thank us for, and let us think, as we lay stone upon stone, that a time is to come when these stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, "See! This our fathers did for us."
    John Ruskin (1819 - 1900)

Thank you all for the help.

Fortunately I gave nothing for it. I was bidding on something else and this item was part of the lot.

I hate to throw anything away, especially if it makes a good boat anchor. Those are hard to find ya know.
