I have a situation where I need to thread a 3/4", schedule 80 black carbon steel section of pipe that is only 1-1/2" long and it has a welded 90 where I can't turn the pipe. What type of threader can I use?
The only suggestion that I think would work is to use a manual die head with reversible dies. Keep in mind that when threading this way it is more difficult to get the die head started straight on the pipe. You might want to practice on another pipe in order to perfect the technique. I hope this helps.
