What is happening in a high-rise residential building containing approximate 500 toilets if the Critical Level in the toilets are no followed? Maintenance men don't know what is CL

Unless they are swapping out ballcocks or flushvalves, the cl should not have changed from the 1" requirement of the ballcock to overflow.

Hi Rick, I checked 6 toilets and all are below the 1 inch, so maybe the majority are in this way, is this a real treat to the potable water or simple a real bull?

As you know, it takes a few issues to create a backflow situation. Some are hard to believe that its possible, others are pretty simple to recreate.

im amazed at the pull out kitchen faucets having multiple check valves and anti-siphon devices. It literally would take a pull, out faucet in the on position sitting inside a contaminated sink bowl full of water left unattented while there is a serious drop in pressure to create a vacuum and suck that water back into the potable water lines. Hard to believe it can happen all at once. On the other hand, there are still ballcocks that are fully submerged and can easily create a back siphonage of tank water into the potable system.
