  • Uponor PEX-A tubing issues?

    Anyone knows about this?

‘Discontinued’ Red, Blue Uponor PEX Piping Plagued by Cracking Defect, Class Action Alleges...

I am planning a repipe with ProPEX and just saw this. I want to use PEX-A because of it's flexibility and no bottle necks at the joints. Now I am not so sure if this is not faked news.

Seven plus years ago I re did our plumbing with WISBRO-PEX . I used 3/4" to all fixtures through
a 3/4" copper manifold system with ball valves.

The 3/4" runs were stubbed out to 1/2" copper and then connected to the various faucets and other fixtures.

The only issue is dust settling on the manifold system.

According to Uponor website looks like they discontinued the solid red and blue and replaced it with white red and blue print ... The class action is not fake news .

A few years ago Uponor was sued class action for producing inferior brass connections but it was dismissed by a judge for the lack of any evidence to the plaintiffs claims .
