  • Drop head cutter

I have a K-375 and K-40 machines for home use. I have a drop head cutter for the K-375 and the accessory cable for the K-40 which has a drop head cutter also.

I've always wondered what the exact use for the drop head cutter was? Rigid had a old page or PDF that showed some cutters and there usage but not the drop head cutter!

If you are running your snake through a dirty arm it helps to get the cable down the san-tee. It is more for a Durham system than ABS or PVC.

a word of caution with a drop head cutter is that they tend to break off if it doesn't make the turn. the intent was to go down the tee and not up or through, especially on a double back to back tee.

i use the drop head to help move/ break grease in a kitchen line as it tends to have a whipping effect.
