  • paint thickness and patch painting

I have two sample painting results, one is a large area which is bare wood after sanding off the existing primer (no paint on it) by using Paint Eater and one is an area loose paint and cracked paint are scrapped off. both are just primed by me. here are photos of them:

    My questions are:

    1. how to control the coat thickness? how do I know the thickness is enough or not?

    2. For those small areas spots, how to make them even? I think I may need to redo those areas to make them look smooth.

Your primed pictures look good, but I think you need another coat of primer to even things out. Then top coat with two coats of good paint and you should be done.
I'm on "The List" and I love it!!
