  • Corian® countertops w/molded in sinks

Looking at renewing the kitchen countertops and one of the possible
choices the wife likes is Corian with the molded in double sink.

Any one have any bad experiences with these sinks?

I think that solid surface/corian is a terrific choice. It is super low maintenance and the seamless lines of an integrated sink are very easy to clean. For great selection and prices, check out www.solidsurface.com

Have not done thke kitchen remodel yet, still planning, maybe next year. Wife is slow to pick out cabinet styles and finishes, floor choices, wall treatments, we're both still on the fence for a bow window above the sink. And, since we now have gas on our street (just recently installed the main), do we scrap the less than 2 year old electric oven and Jennair cooktop with indoor grill and go with gas, or hang on to the electric stuff for a while and go to gas appliances later.

We did replace the countertops in the bathrooms, and we like the molded in sink very much there. A kitchen sink gets worked harder, pots and plates, what have you, so I am pushing for a good stainless sink or maybe cast iron.

We just remodeled our kitchen and did granite with an undermount stainless steel sink. One side is bigger and deeper than the other, perfect for pots and pans. It was about the same price as solid surface. Just for curiosity sake, check it out.
